Stoke City is still active in the transfer window as Steve Schumacher seeks to strengthen the squad for next season. Despite already making four high-profile signings, more additions are anticipated in the coming weeks.
The interest in Jeremy Livolant comes from France.
Several players from the recently dissolved Girondins de Bordeaux are now without a club. Jeremy Livolant, a 26-year-old left winger, has caught Stoke City’s attention. Livolant had a standout season last year, playing over 2,500 minutes and featuring in more than 40 games, scoring 6 goals and providing 7 assists. His performance has made him a target for Steve Schumacher.
While Stoke City has several young attackers, Schumacher values experience, and Livolant’s experience of over 200 professional matches could be crucial for the upcoming season, which kicks off on August 10 against Coventry City in the EFL Championship.
Livolant, still at 26, has potential to offer and fits well with Schumacher’s strategy. Despite his notable career with France's youth teams (Sub-16, Sub-19, and Sub-20), he has not been selected for the senior team. His style of play could be a great addition to Stoke City, and a formal proposal might be on the horizon in the coming weeks.
We are awaiting a new season for Stoke City, and it seems that Steve Schumacher is focusing heavily on youth to build both a present and future project for The Potters. This is significant for the club and for the executive director Jon Walters.

This approach seems excellent, as the players who have joined are either very young or have undeniable future potential. The exception is Ben Gibson, whose experience was needed in defense and has been a valuable addition. It is anticipated that more world-class signings will be made, similar to the ones acquired recently.
