Youth Takes Center Stage at The Potters

Among the standout players in preseason is Dutchman Million Manhoef. Arriving last season, Manhoef appears to be a key part of Schumacher's plans. His promising youth is evident as he continues to grow and adapt well within the team.

One of Manhoef’s notable moments was scoring the winning goal in a tight 1-0 victory against Bolton Wanderers. His goal in the 34th minute was crucial in securing Stoke City's preseason win.

Manhoef’s career began positively at Vitesse in the Netherlands, where he played over 100 matches, including for both the first team and youth divisions. During his time there, he scored more than 20 goals and provided over 15 assists.

At Stoke City, he scored 4 goals in 14 matches last season, accumulating just 821 minutes of play. His impactful performances at such a young age suggest a bright future. Schumacher is clearly impressed by Manhoef and will likely give him more playing time in the upcoming season.

Manhoef faces tough competition for his position, as he can play as a right winger, forward, or left winger. The right winger spot is particularly competitive, and Schumacher will need to carefully consider who will be the starter. Manhoef has the potential to secure this role and make a significant impact.
