With the arrival of Sam Gallagher, Stoke City’s squad has significantly strengthened. Although most positions are well-covered, the midfield remains a concern. It’s anticipated that in the coming weeks, The Potters will make moves in the transfer window to secure a top midfielder.
Currently, there are rumors about Stoke City’s interest in a young and highly-rated forward from Bristol City. This player might be on the move soon, with several EFL Championship teams reportedly interested.

The Rising Star from Bristol City
The player in question is Tommy Conway, a 21-year-old striker. Conway is one of the most sought-after talents in the English market, having made a notable impact last season. He played around 43 matches for Bristol City, scoring 12 goals and providing 1 assist, accumulating over 2,500 minutes of play.
Conway’s background includes development in Scotland’s youth divisions, particularly the U-21 team, where he played 5 matches and scored 3 goals. He made his senior debut this year in a friendly against Finland, although he did not score.
Several teams are interested in Conway, including Hull City, Middlesbrough, and Burnley. Stoke City is also considering a bid, with Conway’s market value around 5 million euros. As the transfer window progresses, Stoke City may act to secure this promising forward, aiming to finalize their squad before the new season begins.
On August 10, Stoke City will make their official debut in the EFL Championship against Coventry City. This comes after a positive preseason in which they secured 4 wins and only 2 losses, leaving a positive impression on Steve Schumacher.
