In what was a very difficult match for Stoke City during a new EFL Championship round, it was unfortunate that one of the team’s key players, Sol Sidibe, didn’t see a single minute of action in a challenging game for The Potters.

It was the debut of Narcis Pelach as Stoke City’s manager, and although he fielded many talented players in the starting eleven, Sol Sidibe wasn’t one of them. The 17-year-old is a crucial figure for Stoke City’s present, as he has a bright future ahead and an exceptional talent. In fact, he’s been regarded as one of the biggest promises in English football in recent years.

A Tough Defeat for The Potters Without Sol Sidibe on the Pitch

At 17, in his last match against Fleetwood, Sidibe provided the assist for Stoke City’s only goal during the 90 minutes and also scored his penalty during the shootout after the match ended in a draw.

Unfortunately, he didn’t get the minutes many expected in the game against Hull City. Throughout the match, Stoke City struggled to show a clear game plan.

Despite Stoke City taking the lead with a goal from Ben Wilmot after a brilliant assist from Bae Jun-ho, Hull City dominated the game. Hull City outplayed Stoke City for the remaining 90 minutes, eventually winning the match 1-3.

At this point in the season, after six matches, Stoke City has already suffered four defeats and secured only two wins in the EFL Championship, making this a very challenging start to the season. The future of the team is now uncertain.

Sol Sidibe remains a major figure for the team, and it is expected that Narcis Pelach will count on him as the season progresses, especially with some very tough matches coming up. We will soon find out who Stoke City will face in the next round of the Carabao Cup.

For now, the team will need to prepare and work hard for their next match against Middlesbrough on September 28, and it is hoped that Sol Sidibe will be on the pitch to showcase his immense talent.
