Official: Stoke City FC's EFL Championship Schedule for Next Season!
• The season starts in August for The Potters and ends in May

The official schedule for all EFL Championship teams has been released, and The Potters now know their opponents for the 2024/2025 season, preparing to compete at their best.
After a long wait, the next season feels closer than ever. With only a few days until pre-season begins for Stoke City, they now know their rivals for the EFL Championship, which starts in August and ends in May, giving them a long journey to aim for the Play-Offs.
After much anticipation, The Potters know their first opponent, where they will make their EFL Championship debut at BET 365 Stadium, playing at home against Coventry City on August 10th, kicking off another season for Stoke City.
It’s also confirmed when the regular season will end. This time, Stoke City will be away on May 3rd, 2025, facing Derby County in the final match of the EFL Championship.
A Busy Season for Stoke City
With a total of 46 matches for the upcoming season, Stoke City needs to continue signing and aiming for a highly competitive squad to handle the number of matches in the coming months. The primary goal is to enter the Play-Offs and compete for a spot in the Premier League.

Pre-season starts on July 1st with a return to training, and the first pre-season match will be on July 11th against Chester City, where new signings and the work of assistant coach Chris Cohen will be seen in action. We’re getting closer to seeing The Potters back in competition.
