After some rumors surrounding this player and The Potters, it was clear that Nathan Lowe was likely to leave Stoke City for this season. It seemed that Steve Schumacher did not have him in his plans for the current campaign.

However, it is possible that Lowe could play an important role when he returns to Stoke City, as he is a promising young talent the club is interested in. Now, the 18-year-old forward will be heading out on loan to League Two, where he will have a chance to develop further at his new club.

Nathan Lowe Loaned to Walsall

One of the top young talents from Steve Schumacher's youth setup was unable to secure a spot in Stoke City's first team this season. As a result, the decision was made to send him out on loan, giving him the opportunity to continue his development by gaining important minutes in League Two.

At just 18 years old, Lowe played 15 matches for Stoke City last season, showing promising performances in his first steps into professional football. It was in February 2023 when he made his debut for Stoke City. For 2024, the player signed a four-and-a-half-year contract with the club.

The club expects that both Nathan Lowe and the team will see positive results in the coming seasons, but for now, he will need to gain more experience with Walsall. Stoke City's Sporting Director, Jon Walters, also spoke about the loan, praising Lowe and expressing hope that he will maximize his potential during this new stage of his career.

"Nathan is a player of significant promise, and we are fully invested as a Club in managing his pathway as effectively as we can to ensure that he maximises his potential. Going out to play regular football is the logical next stage in Nathan’s development as a character and as a player."
