Enda Stevens is very optimistic heading into the upcoming season for Stoke City. He considers the team's additions crucial and how they have positively adapted to the dressing room environment.

The 34-year-old Irish defender is one of the most experienced players within the squad, having been a champion twice in Ireland and in England's fourth division several years ago. He arrived last season at Stoke City from Sheffield United and has already played over a thousand minutes with The Potters, establishing himself as one of the veterans and leaders of the team.

Stevens' statements:

Stevens mentioned that this preseason has been intense to prepare in the best way for the start of the season. He also highlighted the three new additions to The Potters, which he considers very positive and ideal for the club's plans, strengthening unity and communication off the field to create a family-like atmosphere at Stoke City.

"I've known Gibbo (Ben Gibson) for a while, played against him and met him several times. He's fit in straight away. Eric (Bocat) has also settled in well, as has Vik (Viktor Johansson), who quickly built a relationship with the team's goalkeepers."

Additionally, he mentioned his excitement for this season and how the work of Steve Schumacher and Chris Cohen will help take Stoke City to another level in the EFL Championship.

"The first two weeks have been tough, and we also had the game against Chester on Thursday, which was a good run for us. Now it's about the load on the legs, getting as fit as possible, and being ready to perform."
