Currently sitting in 21st place, Stoke City faces Portsmouth in the eighth round of the EFL Championship in a match where both teams are desperately trying to escape the relegation zone.

A rich history between these two teams
Stoke City and Portsmouth share a great competitive history in recent years. A memorable match between the two occurred in the Premier League back in 2009. On February 21st of that year, Stoke City faced Portsmouth in England’s top division, with the thrilling encounter ending in a 2-2 draw.
