The transfer window is still open, and The Potters are not wasting any time in strengthening their team in the best possible way. This time, they are looking at the local market in England, specifically within their own division, the EFL Championship.
Stoke City has set their sights on an offensive player from Blackburn Rovers FC, targeting a striker with a market value of just 2 million euros, a reasonable figure that has caught the club's interest.

The English Forward, Sam Gallagher
The player in question is Sam Gallagher, a 28-year-old striker currently playing for Blackburn Rovers FC. Although he is under contract until June 2025, rumors suggest that he was left out of the preseason match against Wigan, leading to speculation about his potential departure.
Stoke City is highly interested in Gallagher. Reports indicate that the club has already contacted Blackburn Rovers, though the clubs are not yet close to reaching an agreement. Nonetheless, the interest is strong.
Gallagher had a somewhat average season last year in terms of his performance as a forward. He participated in 27 matches, scoring only 5 goals but contributing 6 assists, totaling 11 goal contributions for the season. This makes him an attractive target for The Potters.
The Season Opener Approaches for The Potters
Since the transfer window opened, Stoke City has been keen on signing a striker, and Gallagher could finally be the piece they need. Whether an agreement can be reached between the two clubs remains to be seen in the coming days.
Meanwhile, Steve Schumacher continues to work diligently during the preseason, aiming to build a competitive squad to compete effectively in the EFL Championship when the new season starts in a few weeks.
