For this new month of competition, Stoke City will finally see their debut in the 24/25 season. They will start the EFL Championship and the EFL Cup. With only a few days before the season starts, they still have two preseason matches left.
It is expected that Steve Schumacher and the friendly matches will continue to address important aspects of the team and determine the starting XI for the season.

• Stoke City vs Alkmaar AZ (August 3) Friendly
• Stoke City vs Coventry City (August 10) EFL Championship
• Carlisle United vs Stoke City (August 13) EFL Cup
• Watford FC vs Stoke City (August 17) EFL Championship
• Stoke City vs West Bromwich Albion (August 24) EFL Championship
• Plymouth Argyle vs Stoke City (August 31) EFL Championship
In August, The Potters will have six matches. Two of these will be friendlies, allowing the team to continue consolidating and working on areas that need improvement, as well as integrating new signings.
It is also anticipated that an additional reinforcement may arrive for the team in the coming weeks. On August 13, Stoke City will face Carlisle United in the EFL Cup, aiming to advance to the next round.
The EFL Championship debut will occur on August 17, starting the competition away from home against Watford FC in what promises to be a highly intense match. This will be the opening game of the season. In these six matches, a positive result is expected for Stoke City, especially in the official competitions.
