So far, their signings have been successful, with all three new players making their debut in the first preseason match, performing excellently in a 3-0 victory against Chester FC on July 11.

They are still evaluating options to strengthen Steve Schumacher's squad. The Potters are focusing on players who currently do not have a contract, aiming to give them an opportunity to contribute their skills to Stoke City.

Ryan Fredericks on Stoke City's Radar

One player of interest is Ryan Fredericks, a 31-year-old defender who is currently a free agent. Although several teams in England and abroad are pursuing him, Stoke City is one of them and is interested in the English player.

Despite not playing for any club last season, Fredericks has a significant track record in English football, particularly with Fulham and West Ham. At Fulham, he played 114 matches, providing 16 assists, while at West Ham, he competed in 77 matches, scoring 3 goals and providing 6 assists.

He even accumulated minutes in one of the most prestigious European competitions, the Europa League, during the 2021-22 season with West Ham. Fredericks is a right-back who could be a valuable addition to Steve Schumacher's squad, especially given the need for rotation during a demanding season.

One of The Potters' objectives is to reach the EFL Championship playoffs and aim for promotion to the Premier League, with Steve Schumacher and Chris Cohen working hard during this preseason. We'll see how the transfer market progresses in the coming weeks and if Stoke City decides to move forward with signing Ryan Fredericks.
