After it was made official that the former Norwich City coach will lead Stoke City, Pelach expressed great excitement and happiness at becoming part of a club with such rich sporting history.

A lot of work was done after Steve Schumacher's dismissal to bring in the 36-year-old Spanish manager, whose youth and deep knowledge of both the EFL Championship and his experience in Spain with Girona have led to high expectations for what he can achieve.

Narcís Pelach’s statements did not disappoint

We saw Jon Walters speak about the decision to part ways with Steve Schumacher, describing it as a very tough decision for him and the whole team. Unfortunately, the results weren’t meeting expectations, and they needed a higher level of focus to lead Stoke City. With this squad and the reinforcements made, the hope is to build a project that brings positive results both in the present and future.

And so, Narcís Pelach arrived at Stoke City. It’s said that he has a winning mentality and a unique opportunity to compete at the highest level with The Potters. As previously mentioned, Pelach knows the EFL Championship well, and he’s already familiar with some Stoke City players, with whom he will work to continue building good football for Stoke’s fans. The goal is to achieve great triumphs and victories throughout the season.

"I feel a great excitement and sense of responsibility to Stoke City and can’t thank John Coates and Jon Walters enough for giving me this opportunity. I’ve had other chances to become a Head Coach in England and in other countries. But once I saw in their eyes how passionate they are about the Club and how much they want to embrace a different identity and philosophy, I could not refuse and, once I’m in, I’m all in."

Not just in the EFL Championship, but also competing at the highest level in the Carabao Cup and the upcoming FA Cup. Expectations are high for Pelach, and his debut will be against Hull City this coming September 20th in what promises to be an exciting match at BET365 Stadium. Though Pelach will only have had a few days to work with the team, his impact will surely be felt in the long run.
