Sam Gallagher Becomes Stoke City's 4th Signing in This Transfer Window
The player in question is Sam Gallagher, and just a few days ago, there were rumors that Stoke City was negotiating with Blackburn Rovers for this player. Although the fee for which this 28-year-old forward was signed is still unknown, he will be wearing the number 20 jersey for the upcoming season. Gallagher is expected to be one of the best signings in the EFL Championship this season and to help Stoke City achieve their long-awaited goals of competing in the Playoffs.
Gallagher has been one of the best players in past seasons for Blackburn Rovers. Last season, in 23-24, he participated in 27 matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 6 assists, totaling 11 goal contributions for the season. Although this was somewhat low, it is expected that his performance at Stoke City will be much better than last season.
Stoke City's sporting director, Jon Walters, also highlighted this signing, describing Gallagher as an experienced player with great potential yet to be demonstrated. He noted that Gallagher was one of the most sought-after forwards in the transfer market and that the former England youth international is expected to score many goals for The Potters.
"Sam has a wealth of Championship experience and that’s something we wanted to bring into our forward line for the new season, to complement the players we already have and others we are looking to bring in. He is a traditional number nine but has played a lot of his recent football for Blackburn in wide positions. He has shown for a number of years that those around him benefit from playing alongside him."

Sam Gallagher also spoke about his arrival at the club and what attracted him most to join The Potters. Steve Schumacher is planning a highly exciting and interesting project for the present and future of the team, and Gallagher is expected to have a positive impact on the team in the upcoming season and even in the next preseason matches.
"The direction that the Club wants to go in is what attracted me,” Gallagher explained. There is an eagerness to climb the league which aligns with what I want to achieve. I feel confident in my abilities, I want to impact the team in a positive way and, most importantly, for the Club to be successful.”"
