Stoke City, during this transfer window, has been actively seeking players who can significantly enhance Steve Schmader's squad. Up to now, they have made three signings focused on strengthening the defensive side of the team.

However, it is now time to explore and acquire new reinforcements for the more offensive positions, particularly from midfield forward, to secure key players for the upcoming EFL Championship season.

Stoke City's New Interest Lies in Birmingham

Having observed the excellent performance of Bae Jun-ho, Stoke City has turned its attention to Seung-ho Paik, a 27-year-old South Korean currently playing for Birmingham City in England's third division. Paik's history might be appealing to Schmader's team, potentially forming a strong connection with fellow South Korean Bae Jun-ho in the midfield.

Seung-ho Paik had a promising start at FC Barcelona, where he competed in the UEFA Youth League, one of the most prestigious tournaments for youth players in Europe. Unfortunately, he didn't make the leap to Barcelona's first team and eventually moved to Girona FC for the 2018-19 season.

Despite not having a notable stint in Europe initially, Paik returned to his home country's league and performed admirably before joining Birmingham City last season.

Paik's statistics are quite interesting. As a midfielder for Birmingham, he played 18 matches and scored one goal, which is commendable for a midfielder. Additionally, during his time with Jeonbuk Hyundai in South Korea, he played 106 matches, scoring 11 goals and providing 8 assists, showcasing even more impressive numbers that could intrigue Stoke City.

Steve Schumacher and Chris Cohen continue to look for ways to enhance the club and its players. They aim to capitalize on potential transfers during this window, with Seung-ho Paik being a highly enticing prospect. Paik might be open to joining the team, particularly with the support and influence of Bae Jun-ho, who could help integrate him into the squad.
