Early in the season Stoke City had a lot of hope that right fullback/wing-back Dujon Sterling would make a big impact on loan from Chelsea. To this point though, Sterling has been sidelined for a majority of the season with various injuries.

This has led to Stoke City having a gaping whole on the right side of their defense and in attack. However, The Potters now may have their answer to start getting more production on the club’s right side of their formation now.

Per Stoke City today, the team has signed former Liverpool and current Wolverhampton right fullback Ki-jana Hoever to a a loan deal for the rest of the season — The loan deal now gives Alex Neil more options at right fullback for the rest of the season if Sterling remains out.

Hoever so far this season before Stoke City was on loan at PSV in the Eredivisie. At PSV, Hoever accumulated two assists in five matches played (two starts in those five matches).

The loan deal for Hoever continues the trend of additions this week, after The Potters added two other players on loan deals for the remainder of the season.
