For the majority of the January transfer window, The Potters up until Wednesday had only subtracted from the club — That’s now old news though, after Stoke City added their first piece of the transfer window by bringing in Wolverhampton goalkeeper Matija Šarkić.
Per the team, Šarkić who’s 25-years-old, will join The Potters for the rest of the 2022-2023 season on loan from the Wolves — Šarkić this season has been rarely deployed in goal for Wolverhampton as the club has José Sá entrenched as their number one keeper.
That could all be set to change now however, as Šarkić joins Stoke City with the possibility of being the team’s starting keeper for the rest of the season. With Jack Bonham as The Potters only active keeper to see starting minutes this season, Šarkić might immediately snatch up the club’s starting role.
After Stoke City’s first transfer window move on Wednesday, there’s bound to be other moves to come over the next week — Keep it right here on “All Stoked Up” for continued coverage of the January transfer window for Stoke City.
