Against Burnley on Friday, Stoke City welcomed back midfielder Josh Laurent who had missed some time with an injury — Now going into Monday’s match against Preston North End, The Potters will be hoping to welcome at least one more name back to the club.

Key Injuries for Stoke City Against Preston North End

Forward Dwight Gayle was once again absent from Stoke City this past Friday. But with manager Alex Neil confirming both him and Laurent were close to returning prior to Friday’s Burnley match, it appears Gayle may be back in time for Monday’s game.

Manager Alex Neil will most likely have a further injury update on Gayle in his pre-match press conference, that could take place on New Years Day.

As for wing-back/fullback Dujon Sterling, he’s also been absent recently from the team with a more serious injury. Sterling’s immediate return seems somewhat still far off after Neil, before the team’s Burnley match, confirmed that Sterling is still “probably a little bit longer” away.
