On Monday against Rotherham United, Stoke City once again had another chance to climb the table. And as the club has done for most of the season, The Potters once again failed to fully seize that opportunity as the team drew 2-2 at New York Stadium.

For Stoke City against The Millers, it was again a match in which the club found themselves chasing their opponent for 90 minutes — After controlling most of the first half, Stoke City conceded a goal in the final minute of the half to give Rotherham a 1-0 lead at the break.

However, Stoke City would use that match control early in the second half to fight their way back — As thanks to a Tyrese Campbell equalizer in the 61st minute,
The Potters found themselves back in the match at 1-1.

That lead wouldn’t last long though as again The Millers were able to scratch across another goal in the 71st minute and retake the lead 2-1. But just like early in the second half, Stoke City were able to again fight back and tie the game in the 80th minute of the match 2-2.

From there, the match of course played out to a 2-2 draw and gave Stoke City at least a share of the results with one point on the table.

The Potters’ latest draw on Monday now keeps them at 17th on the table with 30 points. Next up for Stoke City the club will take on league leading Burnley on Friday.
