When Stoke City suit’s-up to take on Bristol City this Saturday, The Potters might or might not have a couple of key players on the pitch once again — As coming out of the World Cup break this past Saturday against Cardiff City, The Potters were without both Dujon Sterling, Dwight Gayle, and Morgan Fox.

Stoke City manager Alex Neil could be asked about the team’s key injuries in his usual Friday press conference and offer some updates on Sterling’s/Fox’s/Gayle’s status for Saturday. But as he has all season so far, Neil is unlikely to give any info on either player.

Instead, fans and media will likely have to wait until lineups are announced before Saturday’s match, to check on the status of Fox, Gayle, and Sterling.

Sterling and Fox Injuries

Right fullback Dujon Sterling last played for Stoke City on November 5th against Birmingham City. In that match, Sterling left in the 60th minute with some sort of injury picked up in the contest.

Since then, Sterling has yet to see any minutes or be named as a substitute for Stoke City — Overall, Sterling has only started seven matches this season since coming over on loan from Chelsea.

As for Morgan Fox, the Stoke City defender also picked up an injury in early November and has yet to return to Stoke City’s first team — Fox who has seen time this season predominately at center-back (and some at fullback) will be a welcomed sight for The Potters depth wise when he returns.

In light of both players possibly missing out on Saturday’s match (or at the very least being named to the team’s bench), Harrison Clarke and Harry Souttar/Ben Wilmot are likely to get starts at fullback and the club’s center-back positions.
