The Potters next league match comes on October 2nd against Watford. This will give Stoke City some time to regroup during the international break. However, some players on the team will still be seeing game action, with four first team players heading out on international duty.

The four players who are joining up with their national teams include forward Liam Delap, midfielder Jordan Thompson, midfielder Will Smallbone, and goalkeeper Josef Bursik. Forward Jacob Brown was also slated to play with Scotland over the next week, but will now stay back to recover from an injury he picked up during this past week.

Liam Delap’s time will be spent with England’s U-20 squad. Josef Bursik will also represent England, but for the U-21 team. Jordan Thompson will join up with Northern Ireland. And Will Smallbone will represent the Republic of Ireland for their U-21 squad.

International games worldwide kick off Wednesday with Scotland taking on Ukraine in the UEFA Nations League opener. The international period of games will wrap up early next week with players returning to their respective clubs on Tuesday and Wednesday.
