Stoke City end West Brom’s 100% record on Sunday after Peter Crouch equalized in the 77th-minute against the Baggies. Here are the highlights from the match.

Stoke City once again found a way to get a result out of the match. Though it wasn’t their best match away to West Brom, a point on the road in most cases is never something to complain about.

Jay Rodriguez opened up the scoring in the 61st-minute after getting his head on the end of a Nyom cross. This goal was definitely something that Stoke could have avoided. It was a simple cross, not really trying to pick out anyone in particular. US International Geoff Cameron seemed to fall asleep as Jay Rodriguez reacted quicker and was able to get his head on the end of the ball.

The man, the myth, the legend, Peter Crouch equalized off a West Brom defensive error. Ben Foster came off his line to collect what looked to be a simple ball into the box, but Ahmed Hegazi tried to clear the cross himself, getting mixed up with Foster. The ball ended up falling to Peter Crouch with an open goal in front of him for an easy tap in.

Overall, it wasn’t the best match as a Stoke fan. Yes, for the most part, the defense held strong yet again (something we hope to see throughout the year) but up top Stoke struggled to create. Jesé didn’t have the same influence as he did against Arsenal and Hughes’ experiment with Cameron at right wingback wasn’t the best. But Stoke was able to grind a result out of the match, a characteristic that could come in handy as the team push to get European spots in the coming years.
